Lotions & Potions - My Kind of Vintage

When I was little I loved nosing around my Granny's jewellery box.  She always had such pretty things in it.  When I was allowed, I loved nosing around in my Mum's too.  All the sparkly gems and the bright gold captivated me.  I had no idea whether it was worth money or not, I didn't care.  It was just so pretty.  As I got older, I realised that was what vintage was about; that sense of nostalgia about something you just can't get from a new thing.

I'm an Etsy fiend.  I have to control myself and not go on that site or I end up buying things.  Etsy is basically my heaven for all things quirky.  So at my last pay day, I treated myself and had a nose.  I don't know why, but I searched for "vintage rings".  I found a lovely store named DiamentDesigns that was all about bringing jewellery back to life.  I loved that it didn't focus on the vintage overlord that is the 1950s.  I loved that they had beauties from the 1970s.  I wanted a piece of the love and so I bought myself the two rings in the picture.  They're not precious stones, The rings aren't gold, they're gold plated.  But they both have so much character and that's the vintage I love.

There is a severe danger I will be revisiting this store, so I am back on my self-imposed Etsy ban until next payday.  Although... it was double pay month... maybe just one more peek...
