Geek - World of Warcraft: Legion & What it Means for this Blog

There was no other topic for me today.  Since Blizzard announced it would be sharing its new expansion at Gamescom I've been counting down the days.  Today's information would tell me where my favourite MMO is going next.  It's always strange when the expansion is unveiled.  Some of it is exciting, some of it I don't care about (mainly because it's to do with PvP, which I'm very bad at so I don't really partake in) and then some of it sways between squeeing and anger, depending on how I'm thinking about it.

I'm not going to go on about all the features.  You can see them all far more quickly in this video, I'm going to focus on just one; a particular Artifact Weapon.  A large focus of Warcraft has always been collecting loot and in particular weapons.  There are a fair number of incredibly iconic weapons and many of them are making their return.  My favourite, however, has never actually been in the game.  It's existed purely in lore.

Felo'melorn was wielded by Kael'Thas Sunstrider, my absolute favourite Warcraft character.  Despite him featuring heavily in the Burning Crusade expansion, his sword was never seen.  Now, here it is.  And I fully intend to own it.  Downside is, it's for fire mages.  In my mage's 8 years, she's always been arcane.  I have mixed feelings about having to change my spec to get the weapon of my dreams, but arcane has fallen out of my favour recently, so I'm fully up for changing my mage.  I suppose I should probably start levelling her.

You're probably wondering what any of this information has to do this this post's title, right?  Well, I've mentioned before that I have another story I've been working on for a long time.  I'd been uncertain if I was going to post it on here.  But considering today's news, I feel like I need to post it.  The story is named Mayiir Skyreaper and the Greatstaff of Felo'melorn.  As you can see, Felo'melorn is definitely not a staff so I'd like to tell my story of it being one before the real lore goes any further.

Hopefully, this won't make you sick of reading my stories.  But, if you would like to read some of my high fantasy writing, then stay tuned.
