Part of my efforts to Spring Clean my life is to address the hoard of products that live in my bathroom. I have a bad habit of holding onto things, so I'm being brutal. If it's open and beyond its 12 month shelf life, it's gone. If it's open and I don't use it, it's gone. If it's unopened and I'll never use it, it's gone. This will mean a lot of things are going and that's half the point. The other half is to make room for the things I am intending on using, most of which are sitting in boxes on the bathroom floor.
Hoarding: Buried Alive!
I am dubbing this clean up effort The Purge. And I've watched enough episodes of Hoarders to know somewhere along the line I'm going to have to force myself to part with things. Following the Hoarders rules, I have set up 3 'areas'. I should point out my bathroom doesn't look like an episode of Hoarders, these are metaphorical areas. They are Keep, Throw Out and Donate. Throw out is largely the stuff I don't want. Donate is another matter. Following this post, I am still umming and ahing about what to do with some of the sealed decent stuff I have. My first step is to work out what it all is and then tackle it. I have a couple of ideas.
For now, here's an idea of how the rest of The Purge is going:

The Hoarders Next Door!
I don't have hoarders next door. Just a running theme on headings. The important part of that heading was the word next. So what's next? Next week, I'm going to put up some bits and pieces I've been storing which fall under the donate area in the hopes it'll help find them a new home.
P.S. If you like Liz Earle, stay tuned...
